  Amanda Campbell

Certifications:

Amanda is Pilates Certified through Body Arts and Science International (BASI) - Comprehensive Teacher Training Course.

Experience:
Amanda’s background is in classical ballet and contemporary dance, having performed with the Delaware Dance Company as an adolescent and the Delaware Repertory Dance Company while attending the University of Delaware.  She began practicing mat Pilates when she was 14 years old as a cross-training activity for her dance training and added equipment work several years later to help out with a shoulder injury. 

Amanda also has a BA in Business and Technical Writing and over 10 years of communications experience in banking and pharmaceuticals. 

Philosophy:
“I believe in slow, careful progression when approaching Pilates work, and I like to emphasize the method’s mind-body connection in my teaching.” 

Favorite Pilates Exercise:
“The roll-up! This is because it takes a lot of strength and body awareness to perform it correctly.”

Inspiration to become a Pilates instructor:
“The physical strength and stability that I gained in my own practice inspired me to deepen my understanding of Pilates through a teacher-training program.” 


Fitness related hobbies:

My favorite physical activities outside of Pilates are running and tennis.  Both hobbies provide great cardiovascular exercise and really balance out the work that I do in the studio.  Now that I’m living in the PNW, skiing is next on my list!

 
   

Our certified instructors are extensively trained in all of the equipment used in our studio. They will guide you to a longer, leaner body using our arsenal of Pilates exercises. They will change your routine each session to see lasting results and can modify or intensify each exercise according to your fitness level.

Monday thru Friday 6am-8pm & Saturday 9am-2pm.
